I am married to a shoe hound! I thought I had a lot of shoes, but I have met my match. His love for shoes isn’t something that will be waning any time soon. You would think he was an Olympic athlete with the number of athletic shoes he possesses or on several Executive Boards with his collection of dress shoes! The question for us was how to keep the shoe clutter organized? Aside from cowboy boots (we do live in Texas, y’all) and all of the shoes he doesn’t actually wear on a regular basis, I wanted to display the shoes on shelves underneath his rack of clothes.
During a stroll through Costco, with his belly full of samples, he spotted a stackable 3-tier metal shoe rack with storage bins. Score! It was the perfect height to fit underneath the hanging clothes and could hold his most frequently worn shoes, keeping them accessible and off of the floor. He was excited about the storage bins.
Since I am all about efficiency and organization, I couldn’t wait to tackle the assembly that I believe the instructions said would take around 15 minutes. Sharing the same competitive streak my father has, I knew I had to beat that time!
Knowing that efficiency is improved by organization, I set all of the materials and hardware out so that everything was easy to see and reach.
It fit perfectly in the closet, and Mr. Shoe Man put his favorites on display. No more tripping over shoes on the floor, and I haven’t even checked to see what treasures he has stored away in the drawers! Win for shoe lovers and the partners who have to live with them! Kidding aside, I do love that my hubby has some fashion sense!

I keep mine in stackable cubbies. Although I couldn’t find this exact shoe shelf online (I tried), here are some great options from Amazon:
