Have 5 minutes? Transform a picture frame into a dry erase board! Have a place to display your menu, kids’ activities, to-do list, homework, etc. with a DIY Dry Erase Board. I even use one to display the “quote of the week” to add a little inspiration to our lives.
Simply take a picture frame with a GLASS glazing (fancy word for what protects the framed work), some fabric or scrapbook paper, scissors, and a spray adhesive if you’re using fabric. Make sure the pattern and color of the fabric or paper will allow the dry erase marker to be easily read. Cut the paper or fabric to fit the glazing. With fabric, use the spray adhesive to attach it to the cardboard insert in the frame. Then place the paper or fabric into the frame, and you are finished!
Of course, you can always go one step further and embellish the frame with paint, ribbon, flowers, crystals, or whatever you want. The possibilities are as endless as your imagination!
These DIY Dry Erase Boards make great gifts. I am always looking for discounted frames. Garage sales are great places to find them as well as fabric and embellishments.
Just remember to make sure the frame has glass glazing. The dry erase markers won’t work on the acrylic glazing. Get crafty and organized while adding some beauty to your decor!
