Kitchen Towel Organization – 5-Minute Fix
If you are looking for a quick and easy way to store kitchen towels, we have a 5-Minute Fix for you! I had a drawer in the kitchen for towels, but it was getting full. I decided I needed to use the drawer for something else. Freeing up valuable real estate in the kitchen is a great feeling, since I am a junkie for kitchen gadgets who always needs more storage.
I simply rolled the folded towels and put them into a farmhouse chic metal basket with rope-covered handles. What a cute and easy fix to add more storage and functional décor to the kitchen!
I love to fold my towels in thirds, so they have neat sides and hang nicely on a towel bar (or dishwasher/oven handle). Folding them this way allows me to simply place them on the bar without having to refold them to make them look pretty.
- Lay the towel out flat, vertically.
- Fold the right third of the towel into the middle of the towel.
- Fold the left third of the towel into the middle.
- Fold the towel in half. Now it is read to be hung.
- To roll the towel, take the folded towel and roll it tightly starting at the ends and rolling towards the center crease.
- Place the towels in the basket.
- Behold, a completed 5-Minute Fix!
This idea can be used all over.
- Bath Towels
- Beach Towels
- Tablecloths
- Place Mats (only if they’re flexible enough to roll)
- Throw Blankets
- Gift Basket for a hostess gift, housewarming party, etc. Use kitchen towels, dish soap, and a scrubbing sponge. Add a gift card for a little extra value.
The possibilities are numerous. What would you put in your basket? Share your ideas with us, and please share our articles to your friends on social media!
