Do you have a spot in your house where electronic devices gather for charging and your family fights for space at the outlet? Well, if so, I have a 5 Minute Fix for you!
Let me introduce the Bestten Charging Center that I purchased from Amazon.com. (see end of this post for shopping ideas) It has a surge protector that comes with 3 USB charging ports, 3 outlets, and 2 built in phone holders. When researching charging centers, there are many configurations. Identify your specific needs and go from there. Read reviews online to know you are getting a quality item.
If you are ready to tame the electronics clutter, gather your materials, and start your timer!
- the charging center
- flat head screwdriver
- Philips head screwdriver
Simply unscrew the electrical outlet cover using a screwdriver.
Replace the electrical outlet cover with the charging station and screw into place.
Stop the timer! Did you make it in 5 minutes or less? I did!
A little cheat is to plug the charging center directly into the electrical outlet cover without removing it, but I prefer it being more secure, so I screwed mine into the outlet.
Now plug in cords as needed. This charging station even has plastic phone holders on each side to keep your phone off of the counter while charging!
Now, if you hate clutter, simply find a storage box, place it near the charging center and keep unused cords tucked away inside. (This also prevents chargers from getting lost, which saves money from not having to replace them!) Since this is in the kitchen near the telephone, I am also keeping a pad of paper and pen in the storage box for messages.
I’m also installing one by my nightstand to charge my devices at night. You could use them in a child’s room to charge his or her phone, tablet, laptop, etc.
Take 5 minutes and get organized!
Check out some of the options Amazon has. The first one is the one I purchased, and I’ve been very happy.
